If your home was built before 1978 we always test for lead. The exterior preparation process then begins with scraping, sanding, or power-washing, followed by caulking and spackling, to ensure a water tight exterior, then concludes with a high quality primer. On the interior we will spackle holes and prime where needed. Proper preparation and priming ensures a perfect bond for the paint so that it goes on correctly and stays on.
Too many painters take a “job-site” approach where noise, dust and upheaval are the rule. We take a different approach, understanding that we are in your space where cleanliness, safety, and protection are of utmost importance. For example, when sanding we use the Festool HEPA Dust Extraction system, the latest in professional grade dustless technology.
We move all furniture and wall hangings out of harm’s way and use drop cloths to protect areas from paint chips, dust, paint splatters and dirt. At all times our workers are respectful of people and their surroundings.
